The RV Park welcomes all travelers. Formerly the Fort Clarks hospital, the Adult Center and Gym offer a perfect place for residents to gather for leisure time with friends. Members can come play a friendly game of pool, study in a quiet area, play bridge or other games with groups, or enjoy the TV room. This multi-purpose recreation center also provides a space for our pilates and dance classes, ceramics, and many other events hosted here on the Fort. This building is so versatile, having 10 different rooms which could be utilized for training sessions, seminars, or other events. Tent camping, with nearby cold showers is available to all travelers, guest and members to enjoy sleeping under the stars of Texas. Huge oak and pecan trees surround the area. BBQ cooking facilities and picnic tables are located at each site, and a large community fire-pit. Fort Clark Days is the largest and most celebrated event of the year. For over thirty years, this festival has served as a fundraiser benefiting the preservation of our historic buildings. It is also a wonderful way for us to share our diverse heritage and culture. Visitors from all over the state and nation come to learn about Fort Clark's rich history and to experience, first hand, the sense of pride and dedication displayed by our present day community. |
